Bio
Katie Hickman is a best-selling novelist and historian, with a special interest in women’s stories. She is the author of ten books which between them have sold more than a quarter of a million copies worldwide. Her most recent work, Brave Hearted: The Dramatic Story of Women of the American West, won the prestigious Willa Award for the best non-fiction work about the American West in 2023.
Her highly-acclaimed series of novels, The Aviary Gate, The Pindar Diamond and The House at Bishopsgate, a trilogy about the lives and loves of Levant Company merchants, is set in early seventeenth century Constantinople, Venice, and rural Wiltshire. The trilogy has been translated into 20 languages. Katie Hickman lives in London on a converted barge near Tower Bridge.
